The University of Eastern Finland, UEF, is a multidisciplinary research university with an extensive network of foreign partners. With its 15,000 students and a staff of 2,800, the UEF is one of the largest universities in Finland. The university has campuses in the cities of Joensuu, Kuopio and Savonlinna. The UEF has four faculties: the Philosophical Faculty, the Faculty of Science and Forestry, the Faculty of Health Sciences, and the Faculty of Social Sciences and Business Studies. The university offers instruction in more than 100 major subjects. A range of programmes are taught in English, and the university hosts about 1,200 international students annually. The UEF offers its students an international and lively study environment and state-of-the-art facilities.
