The University of Transport and Communications (UTC) was established on November 15th, 1945. Its second campus in Ho Chi Minh city was established on April 27th, 1990. The University has presently a total of nearly 1200 staffs, lecturers and workers, in which there are nearly 700 lecturers including 46 professors, associate professors, 110 doctors and scientific doctors, 230 masters in charge of managing and training over 30,000 undergraduates and post-graduates in 65 disciplines for graduate degree, 16 disciplines for master degree and 17 disciplines for doctor degree.
The University of Transport and Communications is the center for training, scientific research, new technological transfer in transport and communication field of the country. In the promotion of its 60-year tradition, the objective of the University up to 2020 and the following years is to become multi-discipline university of technology and economics at high level and quality; the leading university in the national transport and communication field; the great and prestigious center for scientific research and technological transfer in order to gradually integrate into the regional and global countries.
UTC has become a member of ASEA-UNINET since 2006. Since being a member of Asea-Uninet, UTC has had many opportunities to receive information about scholarships from other members including University of Trento (Erasmus Mundus scholarship).
UTC strongly hope to take part in the project so that we could extend our relationship with foreign universities as well as create chances for our academic staff to get scholarship to study abroad.
