Relevance of the project
Many challenging and demanding problems require the increasing involvement of HEI and the joint effort of all the society factors and stakeholders: science and technology are of great importance in building scientific potential and technology transfer, environmental and climate protection, enhanced effectiveness to overcome the resource shortage, demographic and social change and more.
The envisaged OMS advanced education and training by promoting sustainable technological development and transfer will provide expertise and tools to stakeholders and policy makers to respond to social needs, to close gender and social differences, and cope with brain-drain issues encouraging a less fragmented approach to global and local development.
Improved capacity, services and tools, enhanced interactions with local economies and stakeholders; new and more interesting perspectives and conditions for alumni at home, jointly with the valorization of tested tools, methodologies, structures and human relations developed before and during the project will foster a steady growth and equip the Consortium to respond to the social, economic and political changes and to serve institutions, individuals and the community in the medium - long term.
Transparency issues and equal access to the selection procedures have been carefully considered and guaranteed through the promotion activities and the establishment of planning and control bodies, such as the Partners Central coordination board, the Steering Committee and the Evaluation Committee. Relevant collaborations trustfulness, accountability and reliable relations, beside promoting reciprocal understanding and trust, have so far demonstrated to be the most relevant asset to future collaborations, by providing vision and the willingness to work together to solve common problems looking for further funding opportunities and bringing the partnership ONE MORE STEP ahead.
